The da Vinci Xi robotic surgery system provides the surgeon with an advanced set of tools to perform minimally invasive robot-assisted surgery. It is not the „robot” that operates, but the surgeon, based on the experience gained, using the tools available to the da Vinci system, which he leads through a console.

The da Vinci system translates in real time the movements of the surgeon’s hand, from the console, on the instruments with which the patient is operated. The robotic system offers superior freedom of movement to the human hand, more precision, as well as a much larger, high-definition, three-dimensional view of the operating field.
For the patient, the benefits of robotic surgery include short hospitalization, fewer complications (such as infections), reduced pain and bleeding, rapid recovery, smaller and less visible scars, along with increased safety through better accuracy of surgery.
Robotic interventions in urology are in addition to those of general surgery , already available at SANADOR Clinical Hospital: colon resections, rectal resections, bariatric surgery, treatment of inguinal and ventral hernias, gastrectomies, treatment of hiatal hernias and gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia cure, pancreatic surgery, spleen surgery.
