NEOS Surgery was born in October 2003 as a micro-SME that combined the efforts of neurosurgeons with two Technology Centres with a sound reputation and professionals specialized in the Medical Technology sector: EURECAT Foundation and TECNALIA Research Corporation.
Our team has an extensive expertise in working with several biocompatible materials, such as PEEK, and in developing products that must meet the highest technology and continue to set new standards in terms of quality. Our cranial fixation system, Cranial LOOP is the first cranial bone flap fixation clamp made of PEEK.

1. Cranial LOOP- cranial fixation system
Cranial LOOP cranial fixation devices are a smart system made of PEEK-OPTIMA™, a biocompatible polymer, for securely fixing bone flaps resulting from craniotomies.
It is completely instrument-free due to its fast and easy ‘Pull and tighten’ action, which allows the surgeon to fixate a standard bone flap in less than a minute with only three devices, thus achieving optimal stability and excellent esthetic results. The Cranial LOOP devices produce equivalent fixation strengths to those of other standard metallic fixation devices. The product comes sterile and ready to use.

2. Cranial COVER – burr hole cover
Cranial COVER is a postoperative cranial burr hole cover system made of PEEK-OPTIMA™, whose function is to completely cover the burr hole, thus avoiding postoperative skin concavities.
Its ultra low profile (< 0.3 mm) and enhanced adaptability brings excellence in cosmesis and protection. This system provides a ready-to-use, sterile implant, which is placed without the need of any specific instrumentation.
