Acandis ICAD Peer Meeting

The first „Acandis ICAD Peer Meeting“ is over and we enjoyed two amazing days full of many great presentations and lively discussions.

As we already mentioned in our summary of the first day (Read it here: https://lnkd.in/erQYCqYi) we were looking forward to welcome all participants again on Friday after getting together for dinner in a pleasant atmosphere the evening before.

The first session of the day was all about rescue stenting and included very interesting talks about bailout stenting, stenting due to early vessel reocclusion and experiences on rescue stenting withouth Tirofiban. In addition to this, we gained insights in a study about rescue therapy after failed thrombectomy from Spain and the efficacy and effectiveness of the CREDO® Stent in the posterior circulation in acute setting.
As a perfect closure of a successful Peer Meeting, the second session of the day was a great discourse about future developments in ICAD treatment. The impulses for this great discussion came from an awesome presentation about 2 years of practice with ACCLINO® flex and NeuroSpeed® as well as insights in early experiences with the coated CREDO® heal Stent. Last but not least we had a review of ICAD studies and what we learned so far.
To ensure an international exchange we were happy to welcome speakers from Spain, Vietnam, Italy, Slovakia, Germany and Kazakhstan on Friday. Throughout the two days we listened to talks from speakers coming from 11 different countries.

Summarizing the first ‚Acandis ICAD Peer Meeting‘, we were overwhelmed by the active participation in person and online which led to lively discussions among the key opinion leaders of ICAD treatment.
