Romanian German Course, XXVIth Edition, April 20-22, 2023, Cluj-Napoca

Dear Colleagues, dear Friends, dear Participants,

Our health systems are challenged by Corona, post-Covid Infections, and political troubled times.

Despite these imponderables, the 26th Romanian /German Course will take place again as a physical meeting in the beautiful city of Cluj-Napoca hosted by Prof. Florian and his team.

The subject of this year – Brain tumors – is very exciting. New developments in almost all fields are seen – in neuroimaging, intraoperative monitoring, surgical techniques, but also in chemo- and immunotherapy as well as in radiotherapy and others. These vast new developments result in more and more subspecialties; teamwork is demanded to combine these specialties for the best outcomes.

Of course, neurosurgeons have to develop and train their surgical skills continuously and share their expertise with the young ones. We are very happy that many Romanian and German experts agreed again to share their experiences with you.

I want to thank Prof. Florian on behalf of the German participants for organizing this splendid course traditionally. We all are looking forward to coming back to Cluj to learn, discuss, network, and enjoy Cluj hospitality!

Don’t miss the course!

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Romanian-German Course, probably the most long-lasting educational activity in the neurosurgical field, and not solely on this side of Europe, is approaching. The long-awaited moment of meeting our German colleagues to share our experience and knowledge and consider the innovations in the diverse areas of neurosurgery is coming soon: 20-22 April 2023.

As we agreed with the Course Honorary President, Prof. Jürgen Piek, every six years, we return to one of the course’s general themes, a long enough interval to reveal new trends while restating the basics on which the future builds up. This year, brain tumors will be discussed and debated with our German colleagues, internationally renowned specialists, and the representatives of the younger generation, those who will carry on this beautiful tradition.

We invite you not only to learn but also to meet again and be together because, isn’t it, in neurosurgery, everything is about CSF: Collaboration, Science and Friendship.
