Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
I am honoured to welcome you to the 15th Congress of the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) to be held in Marseille, France, September 4-6, 2023. The annual ESMINT Congress is one of the most important events in our specialty held around the world.
For the first time in its history, the Congress will be held this year in a venue other than Nice. We will experience our annual meeting in a spectacular, new and vibrant location and I am sure this will bring new energy and enthusiasm to our research community.
The meeting will feature a large number of plenary sessions with cutting-edge reviews by renowned experts, and will include not only fundamental and clinical research findings, but also clinical observations and case presentations with expert discussion.
Emphasis will be on the latest developments in our discipline, ranging from robotics and artificial intelligence to new devices and therapeutic options. Opinion leaders in device development will illustrate the stages of design development a device goes through before it can be brought to the market. Experts will also provide insight into the regulatory path a device must follow before it can be offered on the European market and what scenarios new legislation might entail. Prominent clinicians will report on the clinical management of neurovascular patients and how this can be the driver for the further evolution of our discipline
In addition, the Congress will include joint sessions with our sister societies, SNIS, EANS and ESO, participant interactivity, morbi-mortality sessions, recorded cases, EYMINT educational sessions for our trainees and ETMINT sessions for nurses and technicians.
The Old Port of Marseille will be the setting for an exciting social programme including jogging and yoga sessions, as well as a networking event to be held in a stunning location.
