September 24 – 28|Barcelona, Spain
The EANS Congress is the highlight and the largest event of the busy educational portfolio of the association. Attended by 2.000 neurosurgeons from Europe and all over the world, the EANS Annual Congress is the main meeting point of the European Neurosurgical Community, and the connecting link between European Neurosurgery and all continental neurosurgical societies.

Rotating in a different European city every year, the EANS Congress presents the platform where original contemporary research is presented, debated upon, and celebrated. Each year the congress is organized under a different main theme, as it explores all aspects of neurosurgery and its relation to those it serves.
The congress will be themed “Neurosurgery and Technology at the service of Humanity”. It is a program based on technological advances and how these can be effectively utilised in order to support healthcare in Low-and Middle-Income Countries. Global neurosurgery is high on the EANS agenda, complementing international initiatives to help patients and colleagues in countries with less fortunate circumstances. The program will involve a special symposium which will bring together several of the key stakeholders in the field of global neurosurgery, aiming at creating the foundations for synergy and cooperation towards our common goal.
The EANS Annual Congress is open to all neurosurgeons, from all levels of training, that seek scientific and community development. It is considered as the event where research, education, cooperation and solidarity are celebrated and enhanced between peers and restless individuals striving for better Neurosurgery, always in service of humanity, which is also our moto for our 2023 Barcelona Congress.

The EANS2023 Annual Congress will take place during 24th and 28th of September, which coincides with the finale of Barcelona’s local festivities.
Barcelona will provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy the culture of the city, the gastronomy, and its renowned architecture.
The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is a fast-developing independent association, both of European neurosurgical societies and of individual neurosurgeons from all over the world.
The objective is to enable the members to enhance the care they deliver to their patients by facilitating the exchange of scientific information at the highest level. In pursuit of this goal, they arrange a wide range of meetings, symposia and educational courses, including the European Congress of Neurosurgery and the highly regarded European Training Courses in Neurosurgery.
It is recognized the huge part that e-learning plays in the advancement of scientific knowledge and delighted to be able to provide a comprehensive online library of neurosurgical material via the EANS Academy. At the same time, that there is no substitute for “being there”, and therefore offer a growing number of fellowship and observership programmes.
The membership and the number of participants at the major meetings and events continue to grow and are keen to work with industry partners to bring the most exciting and innovative products and techniques to the audience via both exhibition and sponsorship.
